Cob, cob, cob…
It’s one of those things, that if you had thought of it at the time, it would have been great to know… just how many mixer loads of cob and render has Richard made so far? Each yellow tub takes two mixer loads (sometimes three!) and that covers approximately 3 square metres so… ah, maths was never my strong point. I might just guesstimate… thousands (well at least hundreds!?).
A man of many talents
I can’t believe how hard it has been to find photos of Richard doing all the amazing things he is doing, but I have trawled through hundreds of pix and struggled to find any of him:
- digging metres and metres of trenches for all the underground pipes he laid to the header tank
- making window bucks and installing windows – single-handed
- building our tiny (but very functional) temporary kitchen and putting a new cabinet and basin in the temporary bathroom
- installing insulation, paneling, window boxes, and the truth window
- hanging doors and fitting locks
- running power and TV cables and installing the aerial
- not to mention shopping, putting the bins out, and bringing me a cuppa in bed in the morning!
But here’s a few I did find that give you some idea of his many talents…
