Our bush property
Wild Corner is 10 hectares of natural bushland in Hoddles Creek, only 60 kilometres due east of Melbourne, Victoria, with Launching Place to the north and Gembrook to the south.
The property is bounded to the south by Kurth Kiln Regional Park and forms a bio-link between this park and Beenak Bushland Reserve in the north. Ninety-five per cent of our property is protected for wildlife under a Trust for Nature covenant.
We are designing and building our dream on this property – an environmentally designed sustainable straw bale home – with minimum impact on the surrounding bush and its precious wildlife.
Our website is (always!) under redevelopment, so please come back and visit us again… Here are a few shots from our initial straw bale wall building efforts (May and June 2011). Visit the Building progress pages for more recent progress…
